Where is the Corte Archi winery located?

Corte Archi is located in Valgatara, in the municipality of Marano di Valpolicella, at the heart of Valpolicella Classica, halfway between Lake Garda and Verona.

Since when has the winery existed?

The Corte Archi story began in the early 1900s, started by Caterina Campagnola and her husband Guido Carlo. Today the winery is run by the fourth generation of the family.

How many hectares of vineyard does Corte Archi have, and at what altitude?

4.5 hectares, entirely managed directly by the family, with no grapes sourced from third parties. The vineyards sit at an average altitude of 250 metres above sea level.

What wines does Corte Archi produce?

Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Superiore "Crualto", Ripasso "Gli Archi", Amarone, Amarone Riserva "IS", Oseleta IGT, and Pinot Nero "8".

What makes Crualto unique?

Crualto comes from a single vineyard plot at 600 metres of altitude, well above the average height of Corte Archi's vineyards, which contributes to its distinctive profile.

What is Pinot Nero "8"?

It's an unconventional IGT Pinot Nero for Valpolicella, dedicated to Carlo Alberto and named after the number on his rugby shirt.

What is the SQNPI protocol that Corte Archi follows?

SQNPI (Italy's National Integrated Production Quality System) is a national protocol based on environmental sustainability: it regulates the use of plant protection products and promotes the protection of biodiversity and the area's natural balance. Corte Archi applies it in partnership with the Consorzio Tutela Vini della Valpolicella.

What does Corte Archi actually do for environmental sustainability?

It has eliminated chemical herbicides from the vineyards, reduced the use of synthetic substances, and rationalised fertilisation, in keeping with the ecological, economic, and toxicological balance of the area.

How do I book a tasting?

Directly on the website: choose the type of experience, select an available date and time, and complete payment online.

What kind of tastings are available?

Options range from an introductory tasting of five wines typical of the area to vertical tastings of several Amarone vintages, up to "Valpolicella al Tramonto" ("Valpolicella at Sunset"), the Thursday evening experience (June–August) featuring five wines, indoors or outdoors.

Is it suitable for families with children or pets?

Yes, the visit is family-friendly and pets are welcome too.

Is electric car charging available?

Yes, EV charging is available on-site.

How do I get to the winery without my own car?

Taxi or NCC (chauffeur service) transfers from the Verona area can be arranged.

Are there options for allergies, intolerances, or non-alcohol drinkers?

Yes, alternatives are available for specific dietary needs and for guests who prefer a non-alcoholic tasting path.
